Road Trip to Chicago

Taidan and Ashlynn rode this way the entire 27 hour trip. It was a tight squeeze!

Kimbree didn't love it, but she did great!
And Brynlee was happy as long as she had food...
as you can see by her cheesy cheeks!
We stopped in Greeley to catch up with our families!
We were so busy visiting, I didn't take pics :(
I did take this picture of my brand new 2 day old Nephew, Fisher and his older cousin Kimbree who is 2 1/2 months older than him and THE SAME SIZE...he's a big boy and just as sweet as can be!

Our next stop was at Winter Quarters in Nebraska!

We stopped at the visitors center to learn about the LDS Pioneers that camped there on their way to Salt Lake City...before Salt Lake was settled.

The kids got to try on pioneer clothes...better than our road trip clothes ;)
They looked so cute!

we even got to see (and pull) a real handcart
Ashlynn didn't love this part...

Our Family in front of the mini Salt Lake Temple

The Council Bluffs, Winters Quarter Temple was beautiful!
I loved it.
And I was moved and motivated by learning more about the early Saints struggle for religious freedom. I'm grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I'm proud of the heritage that comes with that. I'm doing all I can to be sure that I can make that heritage proud of me and my family as well.
